It is now week 5 in the 12WBT challenge and I have completely stuffed it up! I started out great in the first week, and managed to lose 1.5kg. I was pretty strict with my diet and managed to fit in 2 exercise sessions. Then week 2 came around and I was still riding high on my success so got a little complacent with my diet. Standing on the scales on Wednesday morning, I had put on 1kg... Seriously not happy with myself and have no one to blame except myself. So back on the wagon I went (is it on the wagon or off the wagon?? I can never remember). Anyway, you get the point. I managed another couple of exercise sessions and lost the kilo that I put on so I was happy with that.
But of course it didn't last. I have been struggling with my weight on and off for years, but for some reason I am obviously not in the right mindset to do it. Even with all of my tight clothes and awful reflections in the mirror, I still don't feel motivated to do anything about it.... Not sure what to do from here really. Can you tell I'm having a bad day??

Why I'm starting a weight loss blog
For those of you who don't know me, I am a 34 year old woman who is currently overweight. I have gone up and down with my weight but have never really been serious about losing it permanently. I managed to keep within a healthy weight range until I got married, and have slowly put on weight ever since - namely 17 kg in 11 years.
It is now time to stop it permanently and I have signed up to do the 12 week body transformation by Michelle Bridges. If you are not from Australia, Michelle is the current female trainer on Australia's biggest loser - you can find out more information about her from her website.
I have started this blog so I have some accountability and responsibility for my own weight loss, and not doing it quietly so no one knows and then no one can see me fail... scary thought for me!
As part of the 12 week body transformation (12WBT) there are some pre-season tasks that I will be completing and I will be updating the blog with these tasks/challenges. I am thinking about putting up some pictures, but I'm a little scared about doing that, but I will be posting my stats so that I can see my progress.
I am not doing this to gain a following - I don't even care if no one reads this blog. I am doing this for me, and by "putting it out there" I feel like I am being accountable.
So here goes!
